Organising Clips – Folders vs That Was Pro’s Clip Catalogue
A short comparison of Windows File Explorer and That Was .Pro’s clip organisation system.
As a streamer, you would have clipped multiple shots of your gameplay, especially with first-person shooters. You then spend hours sorting through the clips and organising them into folders – folders within folders. Endlessly double-clicking going from games to characters to shot type, or perhaps games to clutches to characters... You know what I’m talking about. What are the chances there’s that one clip you remember clipping but now have no clue where it is located in your system? Here’s how you can simplify clip file organisation with That Was .Pro.
Before: File Explorer
File Explorer is a great basic tool if you have the time and energy to maintain and file away new clips. In the real world, you are stretched for time and probably end up with that one folder that looks like this:

You end up with similar file names showcasing completely different techniques and clips. Going back and renaming them will take time and energy that you could be using to stream. These top-tier clips end up being lost in a sea of clips, never to be seen and utilised as promotional material. Even if you have the patience to maintain your clip library in this way, wouldn’t it be worth using a solution that takes a fraction of the time?
Now: That Was .Pro
That Was .Pro allows you to upload a clip locally or directly import a clip from your connected Twitch channel. Through the editing process (which you can find more about here), you can create and add labels to your clips to easily filter them down in your Clip Catalogue.
Step 1: Create and Assign the Labels
Part A: From the video editor
In the final step of your edit, add a Clip Title, select which Game the clip is from and select which Labels apply to the clip created.

Easily create new Labels by clicking on Manage your labels. Here you can create the name for the Label and assign a colour. You can make each colour represent a category, such as red labels being assigned to gadgets and blue Labels for the number of kills made.
Part B: Within the Clip Catalogue
Forgot to add a Label? Or maybe you realised that clip should belong under a different one? You can add or edit the Labels of your created clip within the Clip Catalogue.
Simply left-click on the clip you want to re-organise and head to the right side of the screen. Create and select the Labels that do apply to the clip, or deselect the ones that no longer apply.

Step 2: Find that Clip!
Finding clips of specific characters or from specific maps, perhaps even both, is now so much easier. Simply go to the side panel of your clip catalogue and select the label(s) that applies to the clip you are searching for.

As seen in the screenshot above, the clips have been filtered by the Games Rainbow 6 and Valorant and the Label, Funny Commentary.
No more endlessly double-clicking. With That Was .Pro, all it takes to find the clip you want is a few selective clicks. Try it now!
